What Is an iWave Purifier?

The iWave is a cutting-edge air purification system that can be installed directly into any duct air conditioning system. This is not just any purifier but a prime example of the advancements of modern technology.

As the air stream passes through the iWave, the mechanism utilizes needlepoint bipolar ionization and releases positive and negative ions into the air. These charged ions break down pollutants in the air stream such as allergens, pathogen particles, and airborne odor-causing agents.

Are you in need of a state-of-the-art purification system in your Southwest Georgia home? Contact Harrell King Heating & Air today about having your home outfitted with the iWave.

Benefits of an iWave Purifier

The iWave is not just another filtration system, but it is actively targeting the harmful particles in the air. The ions created by the iWave attach to harmful bacteria and viruses and remove the hydrogen molecules — without which, these pathogens cannot survive. They also charge allergy-causing agents such as pollen and dust, causing them to bond together into larger particles that will easily be caught by your air filter.

Enjoy these benefits with the addition of the iWave in your home:

  • Elimination of odor-causing air pollutants
  • Reduction in airborne pathogens
  • Increased filtration for allergens
  • Purer forms of healthy gasses like oxygen and hydrogen
  • No harmful byproducts
  • Clean, filtered air

iWave-R vs. iWave-V

iWave Air PurifierThe iWave-R is a self-cleaning, no-maintenance air purifier for residential systems. As air flows past the iWave-R, positive and negative ions actively purify the supply air, killing mold, bacteria and viruses in the coil and living space. The iWave-R is factory set to clean every third day, which is adequate for a typical installation.

The iWave-V is a low-maintenance home air purifier. Like its cousin the iWave-R, the iWave-V also kills mold, bacteria, and viruses in the coil and living space. It is designed for air conditioning systems up to 6 tons (2,400 CFM) in size.

iWave Purifier FAQs

+

Is the iWave purifier safe?

Yes, the iWave, like most ionizer purifiers, is safe to use. If you’ve read about the dangers of air purification devices, you’ve probably read about devices that create or directly utilize ozone, a gas created when three oxygen atoms bind together to create O3, which is toxic unlike the O2 we breathe. UV-based purifiers can produce ozone in this way if improperly constructed or installed, and some ionizer purifiers utilize ozone directly — both involve risks that the iWave’s unique technology does not.

+

How long will an iWave air purifier take to install?

In most cases, installing any iWave air purifier will involve a single short visit to your home. This can vary somewhat if access to your HVAC systems is particularly limited or if other complications arise, but typically it’s one of the faster and easier installation jobs we see. The iWave installs conveniently in your existing HVAC system.

+

What do the ions produced by the iWave do to kill microorganisms?

Unlike UV purifiers, which kill microorganisms such as bacteria or mold spores via DNA-altering radiation, an ionizing purifier such as the iWave can kill microorganisms by affecting the delicate balance of oxygen molecules and other compounds inside them.

+

Do I still need filters?

Yes, you’ll still need to use filters on your HVAC system in combination with the iWave ionizer. While it can kill microorganisms and convert various gases and compounds into safer gases for breathing, the technology does not eliminate the physical presence of mold spores or other solid allergens, nor does it eliminate dust from the air. You’ll need filters for that.

+

Will the iWave affect allergens like pollen?

While it can’t destroy various allergens like pollen and dust directly, the iWave does aid in removing these particles from your home by encouraging them to gather together into larger, more easily filtered clumps. As long as you’re maintaining fresh filters in your home, the iWave will help them to keep your air clean.
